Dr. Ashley Phuong
D.D.S., M.Sc. (Ortho), FRCD(C), Certified Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics
Dr. Ashley Phuong was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Medical Science and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees at Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario where she graduated in the top 5% of her class with distinction.
After her dental training, she practiced as a general dentist in Calgary, Alberta for several years. During this time she discovered her passion for creating beautiful, functional smiles. This led her to continue her education at the University of Alberta for an additional 3 years of full-time specialty training, obtaining her Master of Science degree in Orthodontics. Dr. Ashley has since treated thousands of orthodontic patients and is happy to provide her services to the families of Caledonia, Haldimand County, and beyond.
Dr. Ashley has also received a number of academic accolades, such as the UWO Dental Alumni Society Student Award and publications in the Journal of Sleep Medicine Reviews and the European Journal of Orthodontics. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and sits on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Association of Orthodontists. She is also an active member of the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Association of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists. When Dr. Ashley is not practicing orthodontics, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband chasing after their 2 little boys, Owen and Carter.
